COATESVILLE, PA — Doug Byers, Executive Vice President and Chief Banking Officer of Prosper Bank (previously Coatesville Savings Bank) has been elected an Asset Director on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Association of Community Bankers (PACB). Byers was elected to serve a two-year term in September 2020 at the association’s annual meeting.
The Board of Directors, which includes PACB officers, region and asset representatives, and at-large members, will meet quarterly to determine the policies and administration of the association. Members of the Board include CEOs and senior-level officers of PACB’s member banks.
With more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Byers has been with Prosper Bank and in his leadership role since 2019.
As Chief Banking Officer, Byers is leading the transition from Coatesville Savings Bank to Prosper Bank. The name change reflects the bank’s growth and expanded footprint to serve a wider community throughout Chester, Dauphin and Lancaster counties.
While it is uncommon to see bank growth without a merger or acquisition, this change is in name only. Prosper Bank’s headquarters remains anchored in Coatesville, where it has been for over 100 years.
In addition to launching new branding and investment in facilities for enhanced infrastructure,
Byers is leading Prosper Bank in providing a wealth of new and updated conveniences for individuals and businesses.
