WAYNE, PA — Global Tax Management (GTM), a renowned tax services firm, has recently welcomed Ed Coleman, a former Big 4 partner, to its executive leadership team. Coleman has assumed the role of Managing Director and will be integral to GTM’s lead tax practice, focusing on enhancing client value and driving firmwide growth.
Coleman is a seasoned tax professional with over 30 years of experience under his belt. He has a track record of assisting Fortune 500 companies, private equity-owned firms, and large private corporations in navigating complex tax projects. His expertise spans across various critical areas including acquisitions and integrations, international and state planning, tax accounting method changes, transfer pricing planning and documentation, among others.
Before joining GTM, Coleman had a notable 25-year stint at KPMG, where he most recently served as a Tax Partner within the firm’s Business Tax Services corporate practice in Philadelphia. There, he was instrumental in delivering an array of tax services with an emphasis on tax provisions, consolidated corporate tax returns, and tax technology solutions for multinational corporations across diverse industries.
Dave Sekula, CEO and Executive Director of GTM, expressed his confidence in Coleman’s ability to contribute to the firm. “Ed is a natural fit to serve GTM’s multinational client base in addressing their complex tax matters,” said Sekula. “His diverse tax background, industry reputation, and strong relationships will benefit both GTM and its clients as we continue to expand nationally.”
In addition to his tenure at KPMG, Coleman has held positions at PwC and regional firm Smart & Associates. He also served as the Tax Accounting Director at Teleflex, offering him firsthand experience with the challenges faced by corporate tax leaders.
Further adding to his credentials, Coleman is an Adjunct Professor at Villanova University in the Master of Business Tax Data Analytics program and serves on Villanova’s Advisory Council for Business Analytics.
On joining GTM, Coleman conveyed his anticipation. “I am excited to be joining GTM in this time of growth and have long admired the value-oriented business model the firm brings to its clients,” he said. “I look forward to working with the GTM team as we continue to deliver co-sourced and outsourced tax services to an expanding client base.”
