CubeSmart

MALVERN, PACubeSmart (NYSE: CUBE) has announced the planned retirement of Chief Operating Officer Joel Keaton, effective April 30, 2025. After nearly 15 years with the company, Keaton will transition to a consulting role to ensure a seamless handover of responsibilities. His departure marks the end of a distinguished career during which he played a central role in CubeSmart’s growth and operational evolution.

To manage this transition, CubeSmart is promoting key leaders who have been instrumental in shaping the company’s success.

Amy Cross, currently Senior Vice President of Information Technology and Revenue Management, will step into the role of Executive Vice President, Technology, Data Science, and Marketing. A six-year veteran of CubeSmart, Cross has overseen the transformation of the company’s IT operations and the development of its data-driven platform. Prior to joining CubeSmart, she held leadership roles at Aramark, including Vice President of Digital Technology and Strategy. Cross will report directly to Christopher Marr, CubeSmart’s President and Chief Executive Officer.

Guy Middlebrooks, presently Senior Vice President of Third Party Management, is being promoted to Executive Vice President, Operations. Middlebrooks has been with CubeSmart for nearly two decades and has played an essential role in the growth of its third-party management portfolio. He has held roles as District Manager and Director of Operations, giving him extensive experience in CubeSmart’s operational framework. Middlebrooks will oversee field operations, third-party management, and store transitions, also reporting to Marr.

“On behalf of the Board and our entire CubeSmart team, I congratulate Joel on his successful career – including his nearly 15 years at our company – and thank him for his strategic guidance and innumerable contributions to CubeSmart’s growth and success,” said Marr. “We are proud to have cultivated such a deep bench of talent across the organization and know that Amy and Guy have the right skills and experience to continue advancing our strategy, refine our industry-leading platform, exceed the expectations of customers and grow our business. I am confident CubeSmart is poised for continued value creation both near-term and for decades to come.”
