WEST CHESTER, PA — Chester County’s own Jazmyn Hudson has returned to her roots in an exciting new role. Hudson has been appointed as the Senior Association Director of Teen Development at the YMCA of Greater Brandywine.
A Deep-rooted Connection
Hudson’s intimate knowledge of the community and her wealth of experience make her a perfect fit. A native of Chester County, Hudson has previously been instrumental in youth and community development roles at the YMCA in Central Maryland. This isn’t her first rodeo with the Brandywine YMCA – having worked in Human Resources and Youth Programming roles, she’s no stranger to the organization’s goals and ambitions.
The Enthralling Return
In her new role, Hudson’s focus will be on developing vital programs and services pertaining to mentorship, career development, and public policy for teenagers. Significant Investment Goes Beyond Just Fitness
YMCA has announced plans to invest a whopping $1.4 million over the next two years, with a significant portion specifically allocated to developing teen-focused programs. An organization that serves over 60,000 members and provides childcare services to more than 4,500 children and their families, the YMCA’s initiatives extend beyond just fitness and swimming.
In 2022 alone, the YMCA’s financial assistance programs helped over 11,000 families afford childcare, youth programs, and health services. According to Hudson, there is a pressing need to raise awareness of these expansive services.
The Community Comes Together
