BERWYN, PA — AMETEK, Inc. (NYSE: AME) recently made several significant announcements showcasing its strategic priorities and commitment to shareholder value.
The company has appointed William P. Callahan as Vice President and General Manager of its Aerospace & Defense Division. Callahan, formerly with Amphenol Corporation, brings extensive operational expertise and leadership experience to his new role. “Bill’s extensive P&L management experience, strong operational expertise, and proven leadership skills make him ideally suited for this role,” said David A. Zapico, AMETEK Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
Additionally, AMETEK has named Isabel S. Wells as Vice President, Information Technology and Chief Information Officer. With over 25 years of experience in technology leadership, Wells is recognized for driving digital transformation initiatives. She previously served as CIO for Kimball Electronics. “We look forward to Isabel’s leadership of our global IT initiatives,” commented Zapico.
AMETEK’s Board of Directors has also approved an 11% increase in its quarterly cash dividend, raising it to $0.31 per share from $0.28, with an annual indicated rate of $1.24 per share. The dividend will be payable on March 31, 2025, to shareholders of record as of March 14, 2025.
Further spotlighting its efforts to enhance long-term shareholder value, the Board approved a $1.25 billion share repurchase authorization, replacing the prior $1 billion program from May 2022. “This increased authorization provides greater flexibility to enhance shareholder value through the opportunistic repurchase of our common stock,” said Zapico.
