PHILADELPHIA, PA — The United States Postal Service (USPS) Delaware-PA2 District announced it is set to host a series of job fairs at 585 Post Offices. The event, scheduled for February 13, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., aims to fill a variety of positions within the organization.
Residents living in ZIP Codes starting with 180 through 199, outside of Philadelphia, are invited to visit their local post offices to explore the numerous job openings. This encompasses all of Delaware and several local counties – including Bucks, Chester, and Montgomery – extending up to Lehigh Valley and west to Scranton.
“The Postal Service is more than just mail carriers and clerks. We offer hundreds of different positions within our organization,” said USPS spokesman Paul Smith. “From indoor roles to outdoor assignments, city to rural carrier positions, there’s a place for everyone at USPS. Many of our employees start as a clerk or carrier and fall in love with the job, while others use these positions as stepping stones to additional opportunities.”
The job fair is part of USPS’ Delivering for America Plan designed to stabilize the workforce by creating ample employment opportunities within the government’s most trusted agency. USPS personnel will be on hand at each location to provide detailed information about open positions and answer any questions potential applicants may have.
It’s important to note that applications are accepted online only. Interested candidates can visit the USPS careers page which is updated regularly with new opportunities.
This job fair is a golden opportunity for residents in the Greater Philadelphia region to find rewarding jobs within an esteemed federal agency. Whether you’re seeking a stable career path, looking for a job that gets you out in your community, or hoping to find a stepping stone to other opportunities, the USPS job fair could be the start of an exciting new journey.
So mark your calendars for February 13 and make your way to your local post office between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Who knows? Your dream job might just be waiting for you at USPS!
