WAYNE, PA — Darla DeMorrow, renowned author of “The Upbeat, Organized Home Office,” recently led a transformative Business Building class in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on October 5. The class, held at the Openbare Bibliotheek Amsterdam, brought together photo managers from around the globe, eager to enhance their skills in organizing and digitizing family photo collections.
The event was a collaborative effort with Caroline Guntur, known as the Swedish Organizer, who specializes in coaching entrepreneurs and artists worldwide in business and productivity. Participants traveled from nations including Britain, Switzerland, Italy, Australia, Estonia, and the Netherlands to attend this enriching session.
The class focused on equipping photo managers with the tools needed to transform their services into compelling offers for their respective markets. In the morning session, Guntur guided attendees through building an offer suite that balances low-touch and high-touch service solutions. This approach aims to streamline the process of organizing photos, making the services more appealing and efficient.
In the afternoon, DeMorrow took the lead, helping participants craft marketing plans tailored to their specific offers, using structured ninety-day calendars. Attendees explored both short-tail and long-tail marketing strategies to enhance client relationships and practiced skills to become their company’s expert spokespersons.
DeMorrow, through her company HeartWork Organizing, which celebrates two decades of service, has been at the forefront of offering productivity, organizing, and design solutions. Based in Wayne, PA, her team extends services globally, focusing on photo organizing for families and productivity improvements for business leaders, along with executive coaching.
The Business Building class was part of the annual gathering hosted by European members of The Photo Managers, a trade group founded in 2009. Both DeMorrow and Guntur are Certified Photo Managers and have long been involved with the organization, which is dedicated to helping individuals and businesses preserve and share treasured memories.
This event marked a significant step for photo managers seeking to expand their reach and effectiveness, providing them with actionable strategies to grow their businesses and better serve their clients.
