Rajant Corporation Receives Double Honors at 2023 ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards

Rajant Corporation

MALVERN, PA — Rajant Corporation, a leading provider of wireless technology solutions, has been honored with two Platinum 2023 American Security Today (AST) ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards. The Pennsylvania-based company was recognized for “Leadership & Innovation” and its Cardinal BreadCrumb module was named the “Best Wireless Video Surveillance Network Solution (Radio)”.

This marks the fourth consecutive year Rajant’s radio nodes have been distinguished for enabling highly mobile Internet of Things (IoT) applications in public safety and security. Previously, the company received ASTORS’ honors for its Peregrine LTE in 2022, Hawk in 2021, and ES1 in 2020, all part of the Rajant BreadCrumb suite of products.

The award-winning Cardinal module is specifically designed for warehouse automation and robotics. Despite being the smallest product in Rajant’s portfolio, it’s noted for its powerful capabilities and ability to overcome Wi-Fi and LTE limitations. The Cardinal uses dual radio machine-to-machine (M2M) communications to bypass physical and RF obstacles, extending network range for the stable, uninterrupted connectivity required by robotic devices.

David Acker, Rajant Vice President of Technology, said, “The Cardinal extends the range of traditional Wi-Fi past the limitations of fixed infrastructure with no line-of-sight requirements using two transceivers having a combined data rate of 1.73 Gbps. It works seamlessly with existing Wi-Fi network infrastructure, allowing faster and more cost-effective installation and management.”

The ASTORS’ awards, now in their eighth year, recognize industry leaders in physical and border security, cybersecurity, emergency preparedness, law enforcement, first responders, as well as federal, state, and municipal government agencies. The annual program is designed to honor vendors like Rajant that deliver enhanced value, benefit, and intelligence to end users in various government, homeland security, and public safety vertical markets.

Michael Madsen, co-founder and publisher of American Security, said, “As the nation continues to respond to escalating threats from home and abroad, the innovative solutions being implemented to meet those threats have led to tremendous growth in the field of Homeland Security.”

Rajant received its two 2023 ASTORS during AST’s exclusive sold-out event at ISC East in New York City on November 16th, 2023. The awards were accepted by Alice DiSanto, Rajant VP of Global Marketing, and Liz Gyuris, Rajant Channel Engagement Manager. Over two hundred guests gathered to celebrate the award recipients and honor the selfless service of those who stand on the front lines, providing the capabilities and technologies to create a safer world for future generations.
