MALVERN, PACantaloupe, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTLP) has been chosen as the official point-of-sale provider for the Christmas Around the World festival, an exciting holiday event making its debut this season in Northeast Ohio. From November 29 to January 4, 2025, the Lake Erie Crushers Stadium in Avon, Ohio, will transform into a festive wonderland expected to attract over 100,000 visitors. Attendees will enjoy an array of themed holiday attractions, diverse shopping, and dining experiences from across the globe.

The decision to partner with Cantaloupe was based on its ability to manage high transaction volumes through an engaging and efficient interface. The company will deploy its advanced mobile handheld POS devices across the festival, ensuring seamless transactions for hundreds of vendors.

Jake Stone, vice president of partnerships at Cantaloupe, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating, “Cantaloupe is thrilled to support Christmas Around the World’s immersive holiday experience. Our mobile handheld POS solutions are ideal for high-traffic events, providing the speed and reliability needed to elevate the guest experience at every purchase point.”

Kyle Roggenburk, chief finance and data officer at USA Expo, added that the partnership was a natural choice. “Their handheld devices are designed to handle large-scale events, making them perfect for our vendors and helping us provide the best possible experience for our guests,” he noted.

Cantaloupe’s POS devices offer rapid and secure transactions, reducing wait times and allowing attendees to enjoy more of the festivities. Supporting all major payment types, including Apple Pay and Google Pay, the devices come equipped with Wi-Fi and LTE connectivity, a rear camera, a built-in barcode reader, and a printer, ensuring a smooth and frictionless transaction experience for all.
