WEST CHESTER, PA — ‘Tis the season of giving for local financial institutions, but the staff at Benchmark Federal Credit Union is setting itself apart when it comes to generosity.
“Each year we put out an open invitation for staff to ‘adopt’ a child in need for the holidays by purchasing the gifts on a child’s wish list. However, with everyone facing a challenging economy and inflation, we weren’t sure how many staffers would be able to participate this year. I’m so proud to share that Benchmark Federal Credit Union’s employees stepped up immediately,” said Daniel J. Machon, Jr., President and CEO of Benchmark Federal Credit Union. “That’s a real testament to the spirit of giving that is deeply ingrained in our culture.”
Benchmark FCU partnered with Family Service of Chester County to receive wish lists for 22 local children and were able to purchase the gifts on each child’s list. Machon and Mark Pizzi, Benchmark FCU’s Chief Commercial Operating Officer, delivered the gifts in person on Friday.
As the only federal credit union to exclusively serve Chester County, Benchmark Federal Credit Union supports more than 20 community events and organizations each year.
