MALVERN, PA — The Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation has announced the recipients of its annual scholarship program, awarding over $119,000 to outstanding individuals from its military housing, multifamily housing, and student housing portfolios. The scholarships aim to support higher education and foster community leadership.
“We are thrilled to grant these scholarships,” said Leslie Cohn, a Board Member of the Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation. “Empowering individuals to pursue their educational dreams not only enriches their lives but also strengthens our communities. Through this program, we continue our steadfast commitment to fostering growth, leadership, and academic excellence among our residents.”
The foundation’s scholarship program is designed to assist residents in achieving their academic goals. This year’s recipients include a diverse group of students pursuing various fields of study.
Jose Gonzalez, a resident at NAVSTA Newport Homes, is one of the beneficiaries. “I am deeply honored and excited to receive this scholarship. This generous support will enable me to complete my degree in Computer Science, paving the way for me to pursue my passion and contribute to the field,” Gonzalez said.
Annie Benson, another scholarship recipient and resident at The Broadview at Vanderbilt, expressed similar sentiments. “I am deeply honored and immensely grateful to be a recipient of this scholarship. My educational journey would not be possible without the generous support of programs like this. This scholarship affords me the opportunity to pursue my master’s degree, enabling me to fulfill my aspiration of contributing to the medical field as an engineer specializing in surgical robotics,” Benson said.
The Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation continues to invest in the future by supporting the educational aspirations of its residents. This year’s scholarships reflect the foundation’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence and community development.
