WEST CHESTER, PAAccessLex Institute® has been named the 2025 Excellence in Financial Literacy Education (EIFLE) Organization of the Year by the Institute for Financial Literacy. This prestigious accolade underscores AccessLex’s commitment to innovation and leadership in financial education for law students across the nation.

A key focus of this recognition is MAX by AccessLex®, the institute’s flagship personal finance program. Offered free to nearly 200 American Bar Association-approved law schools and their students, MAX equips future lawyers with critical financial skills, blending interactive lessons, webinars, workshops, and personalized coaching. Since its launch in 2017, over 80,000 students have participated in the program, benefiting from its focus on financial topics such as budgeting, loan repayment, and investing.

“At AccessLex, we are dedicated to empowering law students with the financial knowledge and skills they need to succeed,” said Jen Schott, Vice President of the Center for Education and Financial Capability® at AccessLex Institute. “We are honored to receive the 2025 Excellence in Financial Literacy Education Organization of the Year Award and will continue to innovate and expand our efforts to ensure that every law student is ready to tackle their financial future with confidence.”

To incentivize participation, MAX annually awards nearly $400,000 in scholarships, including the $50,000 Hannah R. Arterian Memorial Scholarship. To date, the program has distributed over $2.5 million in scholarships.

AccessLex extends its financial literacy support through AccessConnex, a free coaching service, and tools like the Student Loan Calculator and the Law School Scholarship Databank, which lists more than 800 scholarships totaling over $3 million. These resources further cement the institute’s dedication to enhancing financial knowledge within the legal education sphere.
