MALVERN, PA — The Leipzig Interventional Course (LINC), marking its 20th anniversary, is set to bring together top vascular and endovascular specialists from around the globe for three days of groundbreaking education, collaboration, and innovation. Taking place January 28-30, 2025, in Leipzig, Germany, the event promises to solidify its reputation as the premier interdisciplinary live course for medical professionals in the field.
Organized by HMP Europe, a subsidiary of HMP Global, this year’s LINC will feature live case transmissions from leading interventional centers across eight countries, including Germany, Japan, the U.S., and France. Additionally, over 40 scrub-in sessions will provide hands-on, real-time insights into cutting-edge procedures.
“Live cases at LINC are always a special experience, showing in real time the processes and procedures used by the world’s leading interventional experts,” said Professor Dierk Scheinert, MD, founder of LINC and head of Medical Department V – Angiology at the University of Leipzig Medical Center. “Our scrub-ins and live case transmissions this year are from Germany, Japan, Dubai, the U.S., Switzerland, Ireland, Italy, and France. It is a great opportunity to watch and learn, with real world implications for patient care.”
The educational program will also include more than 500 sessions, such as expert panel discussions, poster presentations, company symposia, and first-time data releases. Among the 15 anticipated data presentations are results from landmark studies like the GRIFFIN study on Functional Flow Reserve evaluations and the IN.PACT BTK trial examining paclitaxel-coated balloons. Additional data highlights include long-term outcomes of treatments like the Venovo venous stent and innovative thrombectomy systems.
“LINC is the top forum for evidence-based techniques and treatments for endovascular disease,” said Josh Hartman, President of HMP Europe. “For two decades, we have brought together multidisciplinary teams led by some of the world’s leading experts in the field. This year promises to be one of the best programs yet, and we are excited to welcome everyone back in January to Leipzig for our anniversary Congress.”
Since its creation in 2005, LINC has grown into an unparalleled resource for cardiovascular specialists seeking the latest advancements in diagnosing, treating, and preventing vascular disease. Whether for vascular surgeons, interventional cardiologists, angiologists, or radiologists, LINC remains a vital platform for fostering professional growth and improving patient outcomes globally.
