PHILADELPHIA, PA — The 35th Annual Dining Out for Life® is set to take place on Thursday, April 24, 2025, bringing together over 40 of the region’s top restaurants for a night dedicated to support individuals living with HIV. Organized by Action Wellness, this long-standing event encourages Philadelphians to dine out while restaurants donate a portion of their proceeds to crucial HIV/AIDS services.
This year’s impressive lineup features renowned establishments like Barclay Prime, Buddakan, Morimoto, Parc, and The Love, as well as neighborhood gems such as P’unk Burger, Sophie’s BBQ, and Taqueria Amor. Food lovers will have their pick from award-winning dining spots across the city and surrounding suburbs, with indoor and outdoor seating options available at many locations.
“Dining Out for Life is a 35-year tradition that combines Philadelphia’s incredible culinary scene with a meaningful mission,” said Action Wellness Executive Director Mary Evelyn Torres. “By simply eating at a participating restaurant, diners are helping provide life-saving services to over 2,000 individuals living with HIV.”
The event has raised over $5 million in its history, with funds going directly toward critical services like healthcare access and community support. According to the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, approximately 18,000 residents are living with HIV, making initiatives like this vital.
“Dining Out for Life is not just a fundraiser; it’s a celebration of community, resilience, and the shared goal of ending the HIV epidemic,” Torres added.
First launched in Philadelphia 35 years ago, the event has grown into an international effort, raising $4 million annually across 50 cities. Locally, it remains the signature event tying together food, community, and compassion, with contributions from legendary dining spots and rising stars alike.
Reservations are encouraged, as restaurants anticipate high participation. Materials for additional donations will also be available on-site. For more information or to volunteer, contact Action Wellness.
Dining Out for Life continues to honor its mission of uniting food lovers for a cause, proving that a great meal can make a lasting difference.
