KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — Washington Memorial Chapel’s Veteran’s Commission is excited to reveal the details for their much-anticipated Independence Day celebration! The “Fourth of July Service and Lunch” will be held at the historic Washington Memorial Chapel in Valley Forge National Park on Thursday, July 4 and will feature a Choral Service in Observance of Independence Day with an exclusive speaking engagement by Washington Memorial Chapel’s Priest Associate Tim Steeves, retired LT COL Army Chaplain. The service will be followed by a free picnic lunch.
The Choral Service in Observance of Independence Day will start at 11 AM ET at the Washington Memorial Chapel Washington Memorial (2000 Valley Forge Road, King of Prussia, PA 19406) to honor and reflect upon the bravery, resilience, and selflessness of the servicemen who heroically fought for our country’s freedom. During the service, special guest speaker Steeves will enlighten attendees with his riveting stories serving as a LT COL Army Chaplain in the Army Reserve from 1975 to 2005. Steeves began as an infantry battalion chaplain and concluded his military service as the assistant division chaplain for the 80th Division (IT), in Richmond, VA.
