WEST CHESTER, PA — The Chester County Ancient Order of Hibernians is set to celebrate its 47th annual Irish program on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the ELK’s Lodge on West Washington and North Wayne Streets in West Chester. With live Irish entertainment and family-friendly activities, the event offers something for everyone while supporting local charitable causes.
Admission is $15 per person, with children admitted free of charge. Attendees can enjoy performances by the Mullin Family, along with thrilling showcases by the McDade-Cara and Do’Cairde Schools of Irish Dance. A staple of the program, Master of Ceremonies Eric Wolfer, will guide the festivities. For younger guests, face painting will be available, adding to the vibrant, family-focused atmosphere.
The event honors a rich tradition nearly five decades strong. The program first aired on Radio Station WCOJ and Chester County Cable TV, featuring guest speakers such as Ireland’s Ambassador to New York. The McDade-Cara Irish Dancers have participated since the program’s inception, while the Do’Cairde Irish Dancers have been performing for at least 25 years, under the guidance of their esteemed instructor Kathy Hanley.
The organizers highlighted that this event, as Chester County’s longest-running St. Patrick’s Day celebration, is both a beloved tradition and a tribute to Irish culture and heritage. Proceeds from the program benefit Chester County AOH Charities, furthering the spirit of community and goodwill.
