CHESTER SPRINGS, PA — SALT Performing Arts announces two weekends of A Good Ol’ Fashioned Variety Show fundraiser September 19/20 and 27/28, 2020. Pack a picnic or grab takeout from your favorite local establishment and enjoy a talent show extravaganza performed on the beautiful grounds of SALT in Chester Springs.
After a successful summer of the drive-in concert series, SALT Beyond the Walls, SALT is bringing the show back home to the beautiful outdoor performing space behind its’ Chester Springs theatre. For the weekends of September 19 & 20 and 26 & 27, 20 amazingly talented performers showcase their varied acts on the SALT patio stage.
The Variety Show is a fundraiser for SALT and an opportunity for folks of all ages to perform acts that may have been canceled because of the Pandemic lockdown. The event will be MC’ed by two of SALT’s finest, the multi-talented performers and comedians, Sandi Joy Chadwick and Shamus Halloran.
“SALT was not alone in having to postpone and scrap much of our 2020 season because of the pandemic,” comments Lauren McComas, President and Artistic Director of SALT Performing Arts.
“Across the board, there’s been so much disappointment as shows, concerts, school functions, and dance/music recitals were canceled. We’ve had to adapt to come up with ways to not only keep SALT financially afloat but to also provide the community a venue to showcase talent that was never seen because of COVID cancellations.”
The Good Ol’ Fashioned Variety Show fundraiser will be conducted as follows:
- Admission is $20/person. Reservations must be made online prior to the performance here.
- Admission to the show will start 30 minutes before the event start time.
- Show will last approximately 90 minutes. There are bathrooms inside the theatre.

- No tents or beach umbrellas in order to maintain the sight lines for others.
