KENNETT SQUARE, PA — Kennett Symphony recently concluded a successful fundraising event in partnership with Sedona Taphouse’s “Dine Out for Charity” program. Held every Monday in February at the West Chester restaurant, the initiative raised $385 through sales of discounted Charity Steak and Charity Salmon entrées, with $1 from each entrée supporting Kennett Symphony’s mission to bring exceptional music to the Chester County community.

The organization is now turning its attention to a sold-out performance of Masterworks 2: Inspirations, scheduled for Sunday, March 23, 2025, in the Exhibition Hall at Longwood Gardens. This unique program draws artistic inspiration from various sources, including theater, classical paintings, and historical compositions. Highlights include Gabriel Fauré’s incidental music, pieces inspired by Botticelli’s art by Ottorino Respighi, and a Cello Concerto by Luigi Boccherini performed by Benett Tsai. Concert tickets include same-day admission to Longwood Gardens, offering attendees a full day of cultural and natural beauty.

Looking forward, Kennett Symphony will host Mother’s Day Chamber Music with the KS String Quartet on May 10, 2025. The performance, featuring works by William Grant Still and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, will take place at Copeland Lecture Hall at Winterthur Museum and Gardens. Tickets are priced at $25, with an optional $10 fee for museum and garden admission.

The organization’s 2024-25 season will conclude with Masterworks 3: Fiesta on June 26, 2025, at the Open Air Theater at Longwood Gardens. The finale will showcase vibrant and rhythmic music by composers such as Astor Piazzolla and Manuel de Falla, with a performance by celebrated guitarist Ana Vidovic. Chester County History Center members can receive a 15% discount on tickets through a Cultural Partnership agreement.
