PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philadelphia’s holiday season is set to shine brighter as the iconic Macy’s Christmas Light Show and Dickens Village return from November 24 through December 31, 2023. Hosted in the Grand Court of the National Historic Landmark Wanamaker Building, these beloved traditions promise to bring festive cheer to locals and visitors alike.

Since 1956, the Christmas Light Show has been a quintessential part of Philly’s holiday celebrations. This year, Macy’s continues this tradition with daily displays featuring thousands of twinkling lights in the shapes of snowflakes, candy canes, and dancing snowmen. These vibrant displays are accompanied by seasonal sounds from the famed Wanamaker Organ, adding a magical auditory experience to the visual spectacle.

The Christmas Light Show will take place five times daily from Monday to Saturday at 10:30 a.m., noon, 2 p.m., 4 p.m., and 6 p.m. On Sundays, there will be three shows at noon, 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. The Wanamaker Organ will be played live during the noon and 6 p.m. showings each day (except Sundays), with recorded music accompanying all other shows.

In addition to the light show, families can also enjoy a visit to the Dickens Village. Here, they can experience Philly’s vintage retelling of ‘A Christmas Carol’ and even get the chance to snap pics with Santa. This immersive experience brings to life the classic tale, offering a unique holiday outing for kids and adults.

Located at 1300 Market Street, Macy’s is ready to welcome visitors to its Christmas Light Show and Dickens Village. Don’t miss out on these timeless holiday traditions that have captivated generations of Philadelphians. Come and experience the magic of the season at Macy’s this year.
