PHILADELPHIA, PA — Beat The Bomb, known as the World’s Craziest Team Game, is set to open its fourth U.S. location on October 11 at 1218 Chestnut Street in Center City, Philadelphia. This 10,000-square-foot venue marks another milestone in the company’s expansion, supported by a recent $15 million Series B investment from Otium Leisure and CVC2, which will also aid in launching upcoming locations in Charlotte, Houston, and Denver.
The Philadelphia site promises an immersive “eatertainment” experience, combining gaming with socializing. “Beat The Bomb is about having an absolute blast—win or lose!” says CEO and founder Alex Patterson. He emphasizes that Beat The Bomb is a unique social video game experience, distinct from traditional activities like darts or bowling. “Philadelphia has been on our radar for a few years, and we are thrilled to provide Philadelphians the future of socializing with friends, family, and coworkers,” Patterson adds.
Since its inception in Brooklyn, NYC, in 2017, Beat The Bomb has entertained over 750,000 customers and caught the attention of celebrities like Usher and Tony Hawk. The venue offers teams of four to six players a chance to engage in 60-minute missions—Paint, Foam, or the newly introduced Slime Bomb—requiring teamwork to navigate through high-tech video game rooms and avoid a ‘bomb’ blast of paint, foam, or slime.
The Philadelphia location will also feature The Bomb Bar, offering themed cocktails and a variety of food options, alongside a beer garden and arcade game bays for a mix of competitive and collaborative play. The venue includes a private event space, catering to corporate events and special occasions, with past clients ranging from Google to the Brooklyn Nets.
As Beat The Bomb expands, the company aims to reach 50 U.S. locations by 2030, bringing innovative entertainment and team-building experiences to more communities. Tickets start at $19.95, offering an accessible entry point to this exciting new concept in team gaming.
