CHESTER, PA — As summer heats up, Chester Water Authority (CWA) has brought back a refreshing treat for area residents in local sprinkler parks. CWA’s free sprinkler parks offer a fun and cooling escape for the young and the young at heart.

The sprinkler park is a community oasis, providing relief from the sweltering summer sun. “With their reactivation, we are hoping to ensure that families can beat the heat making it easier to enjoy the outdoors without overheating,” notes Darryl Jenkins, P.E., CWA Executive Manager.

One location is up and running and open daily, located at Green and Caldwell Street in the heart of the City of Chester with another coming soon in Chester Township. CWA plans to rehabilitate additional locations by spring 2025, setting the stage for even more summer fun next year. There will be local sprinkler parks waiting to turn scorching days into cool adventures across our area.

“These parks aren’t just about staying cool—they’re about community. They bring neighbors together, offering a space where friendships blossom,” says Noel Brandon, CWA Board Chairperson. “From impromptu water games to lounging in the refreshing mist, sprinkler parks are where summer memories are made.”

So, why wait? Head over to CWA’s sprinkler park today and experience firsthand how CWA goes above and beyond to keep our community cool, safe, and quenched. It’s your invitation to splash and play in the heat of summer!
