Halloween is a fun and spooky time of year that many people enjoy. Chester County has multiple fun Halloween-themed activities and other fall events you are sure to enjoy. These events are all family-friendly, so everyone can enjoy themselves. Check out these four events occurring around Halloween.

Pumpkinland

Colonial Gardens in Phoenixville, PA, is hosting Pumpkinland from September 28th-October 31st. This is an exciting Halloween display of colorful cartoon characters, hay hutch, scarecrows, and over ten tons of pumpkins. It is sure to delight your entire family.

At the Pumpkinland event, there are a couple of different activities you can participate in. There are daytime hayrides that are occurring every day and will cost you $6. Kids will have a fun time riding a hayride through friendly woods. This event is appropriate for all ages.

There are also mazes you can enjoy that will cost you $4. This activity includes a cornstalk maze, a Halloween Funhouse, and Casper’s Castle.

West Chester Railroad Trick or Treat Special

Are you looking for some family-friendly Halloween fun? Come experience the Halloween train ride where you can wear your favorite costume and enjoy the beautiful Chester Creek Valley. This area is beautiful during the Fall, so you can appreciate the lovely views around you while also enjoying the train and stops along the way.

You will briefly stop at the historical Glen Mills station, where you can get off the train and explore the station and picnic grove. While at the station, you can pick up some treats to enjoy. This event is sure to be fun for the whole family.

You can attend this fun event on October 23rd, 24th, 30th, and 31st. All days except for October 24th run from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. On the 24th, you can enjoy the train from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

American Helicopter Museum Presents-Haunted Helicopters

If you want to get involved in something a little spooky, the Haunted Helicopters experience at the American Helicopter Museum may be just the thing you need. This museum is devoted exclusively to helicopters, and it restores and displays rotary-wing aircraft, including more than 35 civilian and military helicopters, convertiplanes, and autogiros.

This family-friendly event is happening on Saturday, October 30, and gives you a jump start on Trick or Treating. If you bring children under thirteen, and they are dressed up in their Halloween costume, they will receive a free non-edible treat. The trick you have to complete to get the treat is a scavenger hunt that is free with Museum admission.

Trunk or Treat

Another family-friendly, fun Halloween event is Trunk or Treat. This exciting event is sponsored by The Pepboys Service Department and is hosted by Tunerz4Life. Since it is family-friendly, you can expect it to be appropriate for all.

Those who wear a costume are eligible to win trophies and awards for best costume. You can also win an award for customizing your vehicle with decorations.

Trunk or Treat is a great event for families because it allows your children to get plenty of candy in a contained environment. You don’t have to worry about traveling all over the neighborhood and can let your kids walk around without you.
