GLENMOORE, PA — Springton Manor Farm will welcome families and visitors for its annual Sheep + Wool Day on Saturday, May 3, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This free event, organized by Chester County Parks + Preservation, promises a day filled with agricultural demonstrations, family activities, and educational opportunities.

The centerpiece of the day will be the live sheep-shearing demonstrations, showcasing how the farm’s herd transitions from winter to summer. Springton Manor Farm’s historic Great Barn will be open for exploration, and the Chester County Animal Response Team (CART) will demonstrate their disaster preparedness for animals. Additional attractions include inflatables, face painting, craft making, and games for children. Attendees can also learn about volunteer opportunities with the Friends of Springton Manor Farm.

The event will take place rain or shine. Free parking and shuttle services will be available from Springton Manor Elementary School at 400 Fairview Road, Glenmoore, while handicap and vendor parking will be on-site. Pets, other than service animals, are not permitted.

Located five miles west of Downingtown off Route 322, Springton Manor Farm operates as a working demonstration farm managed by the Chester County Facilities Department and the Parks + Preservation Department.
