WEST CHESTER, PA — Get ready, pet lovers! The much-awaited Brandywine Valley SPCA’s Walk for Paws is returning to West Goshen Community Park on April 27, 2024. This pawsome day promises a fun-filled adventure for the whole family, including your furry friends!
From a vibrant 5K color run to a leisurely 1K walk led by Fox29’s Sue Serio, there’s something for everyone. Fitness enthusiasts can enjoy an invigorating yoga session, made more delightful with the company of adorable puppies.
But the fun doesn’t stop there. After the runs and walks, attendees are in for a treat with a line-up of exciting activities. Live music performances will set the mood while various vendors and food trucks cater to a variety of tastes. Kids can have a ball in the fun zone, while dogs can burn off energy on the lure course.
Pet owners can also show off their pets’ fashion sense in the pet costume contest. And if you’re looking to expand your fur family, adoptable animals will be on-site, ready to meet potential new homes.
Here’s the day’s schedule to help you plan:
- 8:00 a.m.: 5K registration opens
- 8:15 a.m.: Yoga with Puppies sessions begin
- 9:00 a.m.: 5K begins
- 9:15 a.m.: Walk registration opens
- 9:50 a.m.: 5K medals awarded
- 10:00 a.m.: Activities open (including Axe throwing, Kid Zone, Lure Course)
- 10:00 a.m.: The Way Outs band performs
- 10:05 a.m.: 1K Walk kicks off
- 11:00 a.m.: Keystone DockDogs Big Air begins
- 11:30 a.m.: Pet Costume Contests
- Noon: The Way Outs band performs
- 1:00 p.m.: Event ends
