PHILADELPHIA, PA — This holiday season, the Philadelphia Zoo presents LumiNature, an awe-inspiring light show experience that promises to enchant visitors with its breathtaking displays and interactive adventures. Running from November 21, 2024, through January 4, 2025, LumiNature transforms the Zoo into a winter wonderland featuring over a million lights across 16 artistically illuminated zones.
This year, LumiNature introduces several new features designed to captivate and engage guests. Highlights include “LumiNature 360,” a 360-degree wildlife celebration at Impala Plaza, and “Beary Sweet,” a whimsical journey through a world of candy and gummy bears. Guests can also explore “Polar Play,” an interactive zone filled with laughter and light, and “Wild Flurries,” where visitors can spot animal patterns in giant snowflakes.
Returning favorites such as the Penguin Prismatic show, featuring a 40 ft. tall penguin adorned with 40,000 lights, and the iconic flamingo tree, constructed from 1,500 illuminated lawn flamingos, promise to deliver memorable experiences. The adventure is further enhanced with immersive zones like “Shimmer River” and “Tis the SEAson,” as well as the vibrant “Camp Starfire,” where visitors can enjoy s’mores by a cozy fire.
LumiNature tickets are available for purchase now, with prices ranging from $22 to $29 for adults and $18 to $24 for children aged 2-11. Children under 2 enter free. Anytime Tickets, allowing flexible entry on any operating night, are available for $32 for adults and $27 for children aged 2-11. Zoo members receive a discount on all ticket types.
The Philadelphia Zoo, located at 3400 W. Girard Ave., offers convenient parking in nearby lots for an additional fee. LumiNature is open select nights with timed entries from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., closing at either 9:00 p.m. or 10:00 p.m., depending on the date.
