Since its inception in 1971 with just seven clients, the Meals on Wheels program has grown to serve approximately 120 seniors daily across Pottstown, Royersford, and the Lower Perkiomen Valley. This vital service is made possible through the dedication of 160 volunteers. Program Director Phoebe Kancianic emphasizes that the initiative offers much more than meals stating, “Regular meal delivery provides tailored nutrition, social connection, compassion and care, safety, and so much more.”
This fundraiser not only aims to entertain but also to fortify the program’s ability to nourish and connect with seniors who rely on its services. Community support remains integral to sustaining the impactful work of Meals on Wheels.
