This production launches the theatre’s XV Anniversary Season, promising a blend of timeless literature and contemporary resonance.

For over fourteen years, Quintessence Theatre has captivated audiences at the historic Sedgwick Theater in Mt. Airy. This season, they present Edmond Rostand’s Cyrano de Bergerac through the modern lens of British playwright Martin Crimp. Known for his bold and dynamic adaptations, Crimp infuses the classic tale with elements of spoken word and slam poetry, revitalizing the narrative for today’s audience. The story revolves around Cyrano, a master of words and swordplay, whose unrequited love for Roxane leads to a poignant and humorous love triangle with the handsome Christian.
