SALT Performing Arts Presents Shrek Jr., June 2nd and 3rd at Eagleview Town Center, Exton PA
CHESTER SPRINGS, PA — SALT Performing Arts presents 3 free performances of Shrek Jr., June 2nd at 2:00 pm and June 3rd at 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm at the Eagleview Towne Center in Exton PA. Beauty is in the eye of the ogre in Shrek Jr., based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film and fantastic Broadway musical. It’s a “big bright beautiful world” as everyone’s favorite ogre, Shrek, leads a cast of fairytale misfits on an adventure to rescue a princess and find true acceptance. Part romance and part twisted fairy tale, Shrek Jr. is an irreverently fun show with a powerful message for the whole family.
Shrek Jr. is the second youth Mainstage production produced by SALT Performing Arts and the first professional all-youth production whereby the performers are all paid. Over 100 talented young performers auditioned for the 25 slots. The cast is made up of both SALT veterans and newbies; all young actors from Chester Springs and the surrounding suburbs of Chester County.
Directed by Chelsea Barnett, Shrek Jr. runs approximately 75 minutes with an intermission. Located in the Eagleview Town Center Park, be sure to bring blankets, chairs, picnic — along with a canned good for your “ticket” in.
Performances will take place on the following dates:
- Saturday, June 2nd at 2 pm
- Sunday, June 3rd at 1 pm & 4 pm
