IMMACULATA, PA — The Cue & Curtain Theatre group at Immaculata University is set to enchant theatre enthusiasts with their upcoming production of “The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon,” a whimsical play penned by Don Zolidis. This inventive production stitches together all 209 fairy tales from the Brothers Grimm, offering a unique blend of both cherished stories and obscure narratives in a fast-paced comedic format.

The performances will take place at the Alumnae Hall Theater on the university’s campus, beginning with a special matinee for school children on Friday, November 15, at 10 a.m. Evening performances will follow on November 15 and 16 at 7 p.m., with a final presentation on Sunday, November 17, at 3 p.m.

Directed by Immaculata student Emily Reid, a sophomore from Beachwood, New Jersey, and co-directed by Emma Allee, also a sophomore from Fayetteville, Pennsylvania, the play promises a thrilling theatrical adventure. Under the tutelage of Kelly Gebhardt, D.M.A., the Cue & Curtain Theatre coordinator and music lecturer, these students aim to bring a vibrant and engaging performance to the stage.

“The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon” features a talented ensemble of Immaculata students who will bring the tales to life, incorporating audience participation and an array of comedic twists. While the production offers a delightful and madcap escapade, it is suggested for audiences aged 14 and above due to some mature themes.

Ticket reservations for the school matinee can be made online, with general admission priced at $10 and a discounted rate of $5 for students and senior citizens. Tickets are available for purchase online or by contacting 484-323-3731.

As the oldest organization at Immaculata University, Cue & Curtain Theatre is poised to deliver a memorable fall production with “The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon,” continuing its tradition of showcasing exceptional student talent and creativity.
