PHILADELPHIA, PA — InLiquid is marking its 25th anniversary with a unique exhibition at Dirty Frank’s Off the Wall Gallery. Titled INLIQUID TOASTS 25, the show features over 60 artworks by 33 InLiquid member artists. This event celebrates a quarter century of InLiquid’s efforts in connecting artists with opportunities and the public.
Dirty Frank’s, located at 347 S. 13th Street, is one of Philadelphia’s oldest bars. Known for its cash-only policy, cheap beer, and cozy atmosphere, it has also been a notable spot for alternative art since the 1950s. The north wall of the bar, Off the Wall Gallery, has showcased art exhibits since its first formal exhibition in 1978, which focused on feminist themes.
“We thought it was only fitting to collaborate with this uniquely Philadelphia institution that has been celebrating local artists for decades,” said Rachel Zimmerman, InLiquid’s founder and executive director.
The exhibition is on view through September 20, 2024. Dirty Frank’s is open Monday and Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. and Wednesday through Sunday from 1 p.m. to 2 a.m. The public is invited to a free opening reception on Thursday, August 1, from 7 to 10 p.m.
Art enthusiasts won’t want to miss this celebration of local talent and community support.
