PHILADELPHIA, PA — The East Passyunk Opera Project (ePOP) is set to close its beloved Love Notes series with an inspiring and captivating finale. Love Notes 4 Philly, the fourth and final installment of the series, will take place on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. at the Society Hill Dance Academy, 1919 East Passyunk Avenue in Philadelphia. This highly anticipated cabaret performance will celebrate the power of community, art, and connection, highlighting mutual aid groups and showcasing exceptional opera talent.

A Celebration of Community Through Music

Since its inception in 2021, ePOP’s Love Notes series has explored the many facets of love, from romance to self-reflection, and now culminates with a tribute to communal care. The evening will feature performances by an extraordinary lineup of artists who have graced stages such as The Metropolitan Opera, Carnegie Hall, and Opera Philadelphia. This event also integrates a community-focused mission, connecting attendees with mutual aid organizations in Philadelphia that provide essential support to underserved populations.

“Love Notes 4 Philly” will feature a dynamic program ranging from classic works by Joseph Bologne to contemporary pieces by Simon and Garfunkel. The concert will also include a musical excerpt from Opera Philadelphia’s The Anonymous Lover, further adding to the evening’s allure. Two stars of the opera—soprano Ashley Marie Robillard and baritone Johnathan McCullough—will take the stage, delivering performances that embody the event’s theme of unity.

Premier Talent and Memorable Performances

The cabaret will reunite several artists from previous Love Notes concerts, including mezzo-soprano Maren Montalbano, soprano Katrina Thurman, and music director Aurelien Eulert. Hosted by the dynamic Cookie Diorio and featuring beatmaker, DJ, and co-creator Omar Saleem, the event promises an evening of refuge, catharsis, and inspiration.

This collaboration with Opera Philadelphia highlights Love Notes 4 Philly as one of several ancillary events surrounding Opera Philadelphia’s production of The Anonymous Lover, scheduled to premiere later in January.

Location, Tickets, and Unique Experiences

Doors for the event open at 6:45 p.m., allowing guests to explore East Passyunk’s vibrant dining scene before enjoying the show. The Society Hill Dance Academy’s industrial-chic venue, featuring bistro lighting and a historic brick bar, provides the perfect backdrop for this one-of-a-kind experience.

Tickets are available for $35 (general admission) and $50 (VIP). More Than a Performance

Love Notes 4 Philly is not only a celebration of music but also “love made manifest,” as ePOP’s General and Artistic Director Katrina Thurman explains. By spotlighting mutual aid groups and fostering community action, the concert goes beyond an evening of entertainment—it offers an opportunity for attendees to engage meaningfully with their neighbors and support causes that uplift the city.

Don’t miss this extraordinary culmination of ePOP’s Love Notes series. Love Notes 4 Philly is poised to be a heartfelt and unforgettable evening, blending world-class artistry with a profound celebration of community and care.
