MEDIA, PA — In a vibrant display of creativity and talent, the Art Gallery at Delaware County Community College is currently hosting its eighth annual Regional High School Art Exhibition. This event showcases a diverse range of artwork crafted by students from 14 high schools across Delaware and Chester Counties. The exhibition is open to the public until February 16 in the Art Gallery, Room 2305, on the college’s Marple Campus.

The participating schools—Avon Grove, Chichester, Garnet Valley, Haverford, Interboro, Marple Newtown, Penn Wood, Penncrest, Radnor, Ridley, Springfield, Strath Haven, Sun Valley, and Upper Darby—have presented an array of artistic pieces created in various media. From intricate sketches to bold sculptures, the exhibition offers a glimpse into the creative minds of the region’s young artists.

The Art Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., providing ample opportunity for art enthusiasts to explore this dynamic exhibition. The event is sponsored by the College’s Communication, Arts & Humanities Division, which continues to foster and encourage artistic expression within the community.

Delaware County Community College’s Art Gallery is noted for hosting up to five visual art exhibitions each year, featuring the work of both students and professional artists with national and international repute. Besides exhibitions, the gallery is also a hub for lectures, collaborative projects, and workshops led by invited artists, further enriching the cultural fabric of the college community and the public.

This annual Regional High School Art Exhibition aims to nurture local talent and promote art education. It provides a platform for budding artists to display their talents and gain exposure, while also offering the public a chance to appreciate the artistic vibrancy that these young creators bring to the community. So, mark your calendars and make time to explore the artistry of these young talents before the exhibition concludes on February 16.
