WEST CHESTER, PA — The West Chester Area School District is celebrating a remarkable boost for its students this year, as Giant Food Stores once again demonstrated their unwavering commitment to the community. In a heartfelt act of goodwill, employees from five local Giant stores united to contribute essential school supplies and household items, reinforcing their dedication to the success of local learners. A dedicated team of Giant employees personally delivered the 1,800 items, including backpacks, stocked pencil boxes, tissues, paper towels, notebooks, and more.

Tricia Alston, West Chester Area School District’s social worker coordinator, expressed her gratitude, saying, “We are so appreciative of exceptional partners like Giant. Their generosity and steadfast commitment to enhancing our community reflect their investment in making our community a better place to live, work, and learn.”

Recognizing the significance of community support, Giant employees collectively emphasized, “As members of this community, we understand the importance of supporting local children and families. It’s our privilege to contribute to their educational journey, ensuring they have the tools they need to succeed.”

Home and School Visitors from the school district undertook the task of carefully distributing the supplies to economically disadvantaged students across the district’s 17 schools, embodying the spirit of unity that defines this partnership.
