West Chester Area School District Earns Five PenSPRA Awards for Excellence in Communications

WEST CHESTER, PA — The West Chester Area School District (WCASD) has earned five awards from the Pennsylvania School Public Relations Association (PenSPRA), recognizing the district’s outstanding efforts in school communications. The district was honored with two Awards of Excellence, one Award of Merit, and two Honorable Mentions in the categories of Infographic, Photography, and Video, spotlighting its dedication to engaging with its community through creative and effective communication strategies.

The PenSPRA Excellence in Education Communications Contest celebrates exemplary achievements in school communications across Pennsylvania. With more than 200 entries submitted this year, WCASD’s recognition reflects the district’s commitment to keeping its staff, students, families, and the broader community informed and inspired.

“Our communications team works tirelessly to share the incredible stories of our students, staff, and schools,” said Molly Schwemler, Manager of District Communications. “These awards are a testament to the passion and dedication that goes into ensuring our community stays informed, engaged, and connected.”

The awards will be formally presented during the President’s Luncheon at the Annual PenSPRA Symposium on March 20, 2025. This recognition highlights WCASD’s focus on excellence in storytelling and engagement, further demonstrating its leadership in educational communications.
