WEST CHESTER, PA — The West Chester Area School District (WCASD) has announced that Mr. John McGowan IV has been successfully onboarded as the new Director of Technology. McGowan joins WCASD with twenty-two years of experience and a proven track record in educational technology, having previously served in a similar capacity at Wissahickon School District for over fourteen years.
In his role as Director of Technology, McGowan will lead the district’s efforts in leveraging technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences for students, educators, and staff. His extensive background in educational technology planning and implementation positions him as a valuable asset to the district as it continues to innovate and adapt to the evolving landscape of education.
Substitute Superintendent Kalia Reynolds expressed enthusiasm about McGowan joining the WCASD, stating, “We were excited to welcome Mr. McGowan to the district. His expertise in technology integration, strategic planning, and commitment to fostering a technologically advanced learning environment aligns seamlessly with our district’s goals.”
