Dr. Andrew S. Dua Appointed Assistant Principal at Great Valley Middle School

MALVERN, PA — The Great Valley School Board has announced the appointment of Dr. Andrew S. Dua as the new Assistant Principal at Great Valley Middle School. The decision was approved during the board’s regular meeting on April 21, 2025.

Dr. Dua brings over 14 years of experience in education to his new role. Currently serving as the interim assistant principal for the Downingtown Area School District, he has earned a reputation for implementing effective student support systems and using restorative approaches in managing discipline.

“I am excited and grateful to join Great Valley School District and be part of this wonderful community,” said Dr. Dua. “As the Assistant Principal at Great Valley Middle School, I look forward to meeting and collaborating with staff, students, and parents to continue upholding the excellent traditions and standards that this district provides.”

Dr. Dua’s academic credentials include a Doctorate of Education from Arcadia University, a Master’s in Secondary Education from Holy Family University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Arcadia University. He also earned his Pennsylvania Administrative Certification K-12 in 2020.

His prior experience includes serving as a middle school instructional coach at Downingtown, where he led professional development on topics like fostering collaboration among students and maintaining strong teacher-student relationships. Additionally, he has taught Spanish at several schools and is bilingual in English and Spanish, with certification as a Spanish medical interpreter.

“His experience aligns perfectly with our district’s commitment to supporting the whole child,” noted Dr. Daniel F. Goffredo, Superintendent of Great Valley School District. “We’re excited to welcome him to our administrative team and know he’ll make a positive impact on our middle school community.”
