Dana Jensen Appointed Assistant Principal at Great Valley High School

MALVERN, PA — The Great Valley School District Board of Directors has announced the appointment of Dana Jensen as Assistant Principal of Great Valley High School, effective April 21, 2025.

Jensen brings over two decades of educational experience, including teaching, curriculum development, and administrative leadership. Her recent roles at Great Valley High School include serving as a biology teacher and a long-term substitute in both biology and chemistry. Jensen has taught a range of courses, including AP Chemistry, Standard Chemistry, Honors Biology, and General Science, showcasing her depth of expertise in science education.

“We are thrilled that Ms. Jensen is joining our administrative team,” said Superintendent Dr. Daniel Goffredo. “Her dedication to student success will be an invaluable asset to our school community.”

Jensen’s appointment is particularly meaningful, as she is a former student of the district, having attended Great Valley schools from first through tenth grade.

“I am so happy for this opportunity to grow within the district where I went to school,” said Jensen. “We have excellent teachers here and I’m looking forward to working with the entire high school leadership team to support our staff and students.”

Before joining Great Valley High School, Jensen held teaching positions at Westtown School, Phelps School, Polaris ELS, and schools in Colorado, including Fossil Ridge High School and Thornton High School. She holds a master’s in educational leadership and a principal license from Colorado State University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in biological science. Jensen is also certified with a PA principal’s license (K-12) and professional teaching license in biology and general science.

Jensen’s combination of experience, dedication, and deep ties to the district is expected to bring lasting positive impacts to Great Valley High School. Her leadership will further strengthen efforts to enhance educational outcomes and foster a supportive environment for students and staff alike.
