POTTSTOWN, PA — Children ages 3-5 from qualified families may enroll in YWCA Tri-County Area’s Pre-K Counts early childhood education program in Royersford.
Pre-K Counts is a full-day, state-funded, pre-kindergarten program for children whose family incomes are 300% of the federal poverty level or less. There is no cost, and children receive a free lunch daily. Pre-K Counts classes run from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
YW’s Royersford Early Education Center is at the Royersford United Methodist Church, 380 Church Street.
As a Pre-K Counts student, your child will:
- work with teachers with the education and expertise to teach young children effectively;
- use a curriculum that will help your child grow academically and socially;
- have his/her progress reviewed regularly;
- take part in teaching and learning activities that are best for your child;
- adjust to pre-kindergarten and prepare for a smooth transition to kindergarten;
- have small class sizes with plenty of one-on-one time with teachers.

YW’s Royersford Center also is enrolling infants and toddlers, ages 6 months to 3 years. Hours are 6:30 a.m .to 6:30 p.m. Call the Royersford Center today for enrollment information.
YWCA Tri-County Area has been serving Montgomery, Chester, and Berks counties in Pennsylvania since 1908. Additionally, their Early Education Center help children and families achieve emotional and physical well-being and school readiness through affordable, high-quality preschool education with infant, toddler, preschool, Early Head Start and Pre-K Counts classrooms.
Classroom teachers and aides utilize Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold for Early Education assessment tools to ensure children are meeting age-appropriate milestones. Children are also screened using Ages and Stages Questionnaire to facilitate appropriate early intervention and behavioral support. The YW Early Education Center is a Keystone STARS 4 facility.
