Delaware County Community College Invites Civic-Minded Residents to Join its Board of Trustees

MEDIA, PA — Delaware County Community College is calling on community-minded individuals to step forward and contribute to shaping the future of education in Delaware and Chester Counties. The college is seeking a candidate to fill a vacancy on its 13-member Board of Trustees, a role that offers the opportunity to make a tangible difference in local education and workforce development.

The open position will complete a six-year unexpired term that ends on June 30, 2029. Interested individuals residing within the college’s sponsoring districts have until February 23, 2024, to submit their applications to the President’s Office at President@dccc.edu or call 610-359-5288.

To qualify for this volunteer position, applicants must be residents of one of the following sponsoring districts: Chester-Upland; Garnet Valley (residents of Bethel Township); Haverford; Interboro; Radnor; Ridley; Rose Tree Media; Southeast Delco; Springfield; Upper Darby; Wallingford-Swarthmore (residents of Swarthmore and Rutledge); and William Penn. It should be noted that current sitting school board members, officers, or solicitors from these districts are ineligible to apply.
