MEDIA, PA — An impressive 68 students from Delaware County Community College (DCCC) have been inducted into the esteemed National Technical Honor Society (NTHS).
Taking the Delaware and Chester Counties by storm, this group of meritous students have been recognized for their excellence in their Career & Technical courses, a key feature of modern education. Each inductee has met stringent criteria such as the completion of at least nine credit hours and maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or above at DCCC.
These young achievers have displayed impressive skillsets across a variety of programs including Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, and Health Care Management, among others.
Established in 1984, the NTHS is the pinnacle of honor societies for Career & Technical Education. It recognizes over 50,000 new members annually from an array of educational institutions and has been instrumental in promoting hard work, skill development, and academic success.
The honor society’s mission is to empower students to develop the necessary technical and academic skills to pursue their career paths and contribute to a robust global workforce. This recent induction underscores the accomplishment of DCCC students and reaffirms the institution’s commitment to shaping future leaders.
The recent induction ceremony was a recognition of the dedication of students from different corners of Pennsylvania, including Avondale, Brookhaven, Coatesville, and many others. Each inductee holds the promise of a bright future, working towards the betterment of their communities and the larger global arena.
Guiding the new NTHS inductees at DCCC are Faculty Co-Advisors Michael LaMagna, Ed.D., Professor of Library Services, and Anne-Marie Verenna, Ph.D., Professor of Biology and Professor of Library Services. With their expertise and guidance, DCCC continues to produce top-notch talent in the technical and career fields.
