MEDIA, PA — Community members are invited to join Delaware County Community College (DCCC) President Dr. Marta Yera Cronin for “Coffee and Conversations” on Thursday, April 10, at 8:30 a.m. in the Café at DCCC, located at 910 S. Media Line Road, Media, PA. The event will provide guests with insights into the upcoming Southeast Center in Drexel Hill, slated to open in January 2026.
Attendees will hear Dr. Cronin share her inspiring educational and career story as a first-generation college graduate and learn about DCCC’s new $7.5 million Building Community Campaign. The campaign aims to expand access to education, promote social mobility, and advance workforce development in the region.
The Southeast Center’s anticipated impact is significant, with projections of training over 11,000 individuals for high-priority careers within its first five years. The initiative is expected to generate a $1.5 billion economic impact, while every dollar donated will deliver an $11 return in local earnings. Additionally, 94% of DCCC career and technical graduates are expected to work in their respective fields.
The event will also feature perspectives from students and Andrew Kelleher, creator of the Kelleher Connect Career Opportunity Fund, which supports students in career and technical programs at DCCC. Frances M. Sheehan, president of the Foundation for Delaware County, will discuss her organization’s commitment to the Southeast Center and the campaign’s goals.
A hot breakfast will be served. To attend, RSVP by April 7 by emailing rsvp@dccc.edu or calling 610-359-5131 with your name, email, and phone number.
