MEDIA, PA — The Delaware County Community College (DCCC) Art Gallery is hosting its highly anticipated annual AFA Graduation Exhibition, celebrating the achievements of its 2025 Associate in Fine Arts (AFA) graduates. This year’s showcase highlights the largest group of students to complete the program, featuring a diverse array of work from aspiring Graphic Design and Studio Art professionals.
The exhibition will unfold in two parts, beginning with the Graphic Design display from April 28 to May 2, which will spotlight the work of 24 graduates. A reception is planned for April 29 at 11 a.m. The second phase will showcase creative pieces from 12 Studio Art graduates, running from May 12 to May 15, with a reception on May 13 at 11 a.m. The Art Gallery, located in Room 2305 of the Marple Campus Academic Building, will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission to both the exhibits and receptions is free.
Student works featured in the exhibition are chosen in collaboration with faculty, highlighting the culmination of innovation, technical skill, and vision developed throughout the AFA program. Designed to prepare students for transfer to Bachelor of Fine Arts programs or to directly enter the creative workforce, the program has a history of producing graduates who excel in fields ranging from fine arts to commercial design. Alumni have gone on to work with renowned organizations such as the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Comcast, and the New York Times.
The College’s Art Gallery further enhances the student experience by hosting multiple exhibitions a year, balancing student showcases with professional art displays by nationally and internationally acclaimed artists. These events include lectures, workshops, and collaborative projects that cultivate connections between the college community and the broader art world.
This year’s exhibition not only celebrates the success of the Class of 2025 but also reaffirms the College’s commitment to nurturing creativity and advancing opportunities for its students in the arts. With its largest cohort to date, the AFA program continues to flourish, preparing the next generation of artists and designers to leave their mark on the industry.
