MEDIA, PA — Delaware County Community College’s standout student-athlete, Aidan Heppard, has made headlines once again by qualifying for a second event at the upcoming National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III Outdoor Track and Field National Meet. The meet is scheduled to take place from May 9-11 in Utica, N.Y.
Heppard, a Ridley High School alum from Swarthmore, showcased his sprinting prowess by clocking an impressive time of 11.62 seconds in the 100-meter dash. His performance came during the Blue Jay Tune Up at Elizabethtown College on April 27, catapulting him into the spotlight and earning him the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week for the week of April 29.
This achievement adds to Heppard’s notable track record this season, having already qualified for Nationals earlier this spring as a key member of the DCCC Phantoms’ 4 x 100-meter relay team. His dual qualification highlights Heppard’s versatility and determination as a leading force in junior college athletics.
Fans and followers of college track and field are eagerly anticipating Heppard’s performance at the national level, where he will represent Delaware County Community College in both the individual 100-meter dash and the 4 x 100-meter relay event.
