EXTON, PA — Citadel Credit Union has officially opened the nomination period for its prestigious Citadel Heart of Learning Awards, now in its 24th year. This program celebrates exceptional teachers across Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lancaster, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties who make significant contributions to their students’ education.
Nominations will be accepted until January 15, 2025, and can be submitted through CitadelBanking.com. Schools will display posters featuring QR codes that link directly to the nomination form. Additionally, video nominations can be submitted on TikTok, Instagram, or Facebook by tagging @citadelcreditunion on TikTok or @CitadelBanking on Instagram and Facebook, using the hashtag #CitadelHeartofLearning.
Selected winners will be announced in May 2025, receiving over $80,000 in grants and awards, alongside a heart-shaped, glass-blown trophy. The schools of the six Grand Prize Winners will each receive $5,000 in funding. This initiative has already distributed over $500,000 in grants, aiding teachers in enhancing their educational environments.

The Citadel Heart of Learning Awards, initiated in collaboration with the Chester County Intermediate Unit, remains one of Citadel’s flagship efforts to honor dedicated teachers who excel both in and out of the classroom. Over the years, more than 400 teachers have been recognized from thousands of nominations, highlighting the profound impact of educators across the region.
