DOWNINGTOWN, PA — The Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) held its annual Practical Nursing Program (PNP) spring job fair on May 6 at the Technical College High School (TCHS) Brandywine Campus. The event aimed to connect PNP students with potential employers and educational institutions.
The PNP program trains students to become Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs). Through the job fair, students had the chance to explore career opportunities and discuss further education options. Beth Ann Puckett, the director of PNP, emphasized the job fair’s role in addressing the nursing shortage while providing future job opportunities for graduates.
This year’s job fair saw over 25 employers and institutions engaging with 65 students. Attendees received information on application processes, interviews, and scholarships. Many students aimed to speak with universities to advance their nursing education.
Jana, a second-level PNP student, shared her positive experience at the fair. “I was excited to attend today’s job fair to look for schools that will help further my education. I had great conversations with representatives from Immaculata about their LPN and BSN programs.”
The CCIU PNP program continues to support aspiring LPNs by offering valuable resources and guidance. For more information regarding the CCIU PNP or on becoming an LPN, visit the official hester County Intermediate Unit website.
