WEST CHESTER, PA — The West Chester Downtown Foundation (WCDF) has announced that the application period for its 2024 Community Grant is now open. This grant offers up to $2,500 in financial support for non-profit organizations in the Greater West Chester area.

The WCDF seeks to fund 501(c)(3) non-profits that address human needs, deliver high-quality services, and align with the Foundation’s mission of promoting community interest in downtown West Chester. Tracy Sammarone, Chair of the Grants Committee, expressed enthusiasm about the initiative. “We are proud to help support the great work of so many nonprofits serving a diverse set of needs in our West Chester Community,” she said. “Our hope is that we will get a strong pool of applicants so that we can distribute these funds to support the needs of West Chester.”

The Foundation aims to enhance the community’s vitality, culture, and livability through education, preservation, and collaboration.

Non-profits interested in applying can visit the WCDF website for more information on the grant criteria and application process. The deadline for submissions is July 31st.

This grant provides an opportunity for local organizations to secure funding that can help them continue their valuable work in the community. As costs rise and resources become strained, such financial support is crucial for maintaining the services that benefit West Chester residents.
