WEST CHESTER, PA – The beloved “Up On the Roof” fundraiser is set to return on September 14, 2024. This premier event, hosted by the West Chester Downtown Foundation, promises a memorable evening on a downtown rooftop. The event is title sponsored by Gawthrop Greenwood – Attorneys at Law.

Lindsey Tracy, Chair of the Up on the Roof Committee, describes it as an unforgettable night. “This is truly an unforgettable night as you take in the stunning West Chester skyline and sunset, enjoy music, amazing food, and our specialty cocktails,” she said.

The Chestnut Street Garage will transform into a glamorous cocktail party from 5 pm to 8:30 pm. Guests can enjoy appetizers by Limoncello Ristorante & Caterers and a dessert buffet from local sweet shops. There will be complimentary beer from four local breweries, wine, and the popular Gawthrop-tini. Tickets are on sale now.

Stacey L. Fuller, managing partner of Gawthrop Greenwood, expressed pride in sponsoring the event. “We are proud to once again be the title sponsor of ‘Up On the Roof,’ especially as Gawthrop Greenwood celebrates its 120th anniversary in West Chester,” she said.

Tracy and Mark Sammarone, honorary chairs, have a long history with the event. “We are very excited and proud to serve as this year’s Honorary Chairpersons for ‘Up On the Roof’ and we encourage everyone to take part in this great event!” said Tracy Sammarone. They emphasize the unique setting and the importance of supporting the West Chester Downtown Foundation.

Since 2002, the WCDF has successfully raised more than $350,000 through its iconic event “Up On the Roof.” This initiative bolsters downtown beautification endeavors by fostering collaboration between the West Chester Downtown Foundation and the West Chester BID. Not only is this event a pivotal fundraiser, but it also plays a crucial role in elevating the historical, cultural, and economic importance of West Chester Borough.
