WEST CHESTER, PA — Paddle down the scenic Brandywine River in Chester County for a great cause! The canoe challenge is 9.5 miles long and takes about 2 hours to complete. Register below, by mail, or in person! But hurry, because this year organizers are limiting the number of canoes to 100. Registration and parking are available at Northbrook Canoe Company, 1810 Beagle Road, West Chester, PA.

The day starts with check-in from 8:00 to 10:00 am at Northbrook Canoe Company to pick up your athlete number bibs, paddles, life jackets and the coveted Challenge T-shirts! While you are waiting, don’t forget to catch the mini rubber duck race for a chance to win some great prizes. Then, from 10:30 to 11:30 catch one of the shuttles to the start of the race. The race starts at Noon and ends at Northbrook. The event is open to all skill levels. Families are encouraged to participate, in that it is a challenge more than a race.

The organizers do capture your canoe time and medals are awarded for various classes of age and participation. If there are canoes available, the final deadline for registration is Saturday, May 14th in person at Northbrook Canoe.

Northbrook Canoe Challenge organizers gave special thanks to everyone who keeps everyone safe including Northbrook Staff, the Chester County Dive Team, the Chester County ARES/RACES RADIO GROUP and Goodfellowship EMS. They wouldn’t be able to hold the race without their wonderful sponsors!
