WEST CHESTER, PA — Who’s your favorite local chef, and what’s your favorite local dish? You’re invited to vote for your foodie favorites – and experience an evening of food sampling you’ll never forget — at Chef’s Best, a friendly food competition celebrating 10 years as the signature fundraiser supporting ACT in Faith of Greater West Chester.
ACT in Faith of Greater West Chester will host the 10th Annual Chef’s Best on Thursday, March 30, 2023, from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. at West Chester University Alumni & Foundation Center, 202 Carter Drive in West Chester, PA. Event-goers can sample specialties from the area’s top restaurants competing to be named “Best of Chef’s Best” and vote for their favorite dish. Tickets Available at https://www.actinfaithgwc.org/
Contenders include two-time Chef’s Best champion Chef James Jones of Santino’s Tap and Table, as well as Mercato Ristorante (2017 winner), Side Bar & Restaurant (2016 winner) and The Mediterranean. Guests can also enjoy a variety of locally made desserts and opportunities to support the organization.
“We are very excited to have Chef’s Best back in person and several previous champions returning, including two-time winner Chef James Jones,” said Sara Bleemer, ACT in Faith Board President. “The magic of this event is that ACT in Faith gets to share its mission and impact, while some of West Chester’s best chefs get to share their amazing food with our guests!”
All proceeds support ACT in Faith of Greater West Chester, an interfaith organization that seeks to empower un- and under-employed West Chester residents to stabilize their households and build toward sustainability. Services provided by ACT in Faith include eviction and utility shut-off prevention, employment support services, personal care and household items, food staples, and homemade heat-and-eat meals available to all shoppers ACT in Faith’s Community Cupboard.
