54 Hours of Startup Weekend West Chester

WEST CHESTER, PA — West Chester University, Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce and Ideas x Innovation Network (i2n) are partnering to deliver a Techstars Startup Weekend in West Chester, PA. This is the inaugural startup weekend for the Philly ‘burbs!  The Startup Weekend is set to take place on the first weekend of June 1-3, 2018 on the campus of West Chester University at 50 Sharpless Street, West Chester, PA.  The 54-hour event brings together active and empowered entrepreneurs who are learning the basics of founding startups and launching successful ventures.

Participants at the Startup Weekend will present business ideas the first night (Friday June 1) and work with coaches over the weekend to prepare to display a minimum viable product or concept test on the last night of the event (Sunday June 3).  Judges will evaluate the final presentations on Sunday and provide additional feedback to the teams. It’s a great learning experience for participants—many of whom are pitching before a panel of professionals/investors for the first time.

We have an impressive list of over 25 coaches, judges and speakers that are leaders in the Southeastern Pennsylvania region who actively support the entrepreneurial community including Nick Bayer of Saxby’s, Shawn Blackburn of YPrime, and Marian Moskowitz of Franklin Commons.
